Mr. Hoy was the son of George Hoy and Sarah Root Hoy and was born in Manchester, Mich., July 17, 1855. He came to Monmouth in 1880 and entered the contracting business which he followed until failing health forced him to give up active work five years ago. Hoy and John Nash Hoy of Chicago; and Mrs. Charles S. Bus, of Chicago. There are also two brothers and a sister, Egbert B. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home with Dr. R. W. Lindsay, pastor of the Ninth Avenue U.P. Church in charge. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery.
