Notes
a. Note:   The Brief Memoirs of Arlene (Stolle) WoodAs told to Ronda Wood(daughter in law) abt. 2000 Carl Schilling Sr.’s family owned a huge beer gardens in Germany. He went away on a graduation trip (from middle school) and met Marie Wiefenbach. Carl got her pregnant and his family disowned him. Their oldest child Max was killed in World war 2 in Germany. Then there was Rose, Carl Jr., Bertha, Hans and Adolf. When Carl Senior died, (1909) his parents took Max and Rose to live with them. The younger four stayed with their mother. The oldest two children lived in riches while the younger four lived in poverty.
Marie was able to immigrate to America with her four children. She stopped to see a cousin in New York. Then she went on to Nebraska where she met Christopher Myers and they had one Child, Minnie. Chistopher later hung himself. Marie then married Frank Schauerhammer and they had no children together. Marie died of a heart condition in either 1935 or 1936. Frank died years later.
Bertha met Richard Stolle in school and they married later. They moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota where Warren was born. This was during the depression. Then they went to North Dakota where Marlys was born. (1925). They moved again around 1929 or 1932 a farm near Frederick, South Dakota. They leased three different farms in the area and while at the third one the twins (Arlene and Darlene) were born. This was in 1933. (The twins were so small they first slept in dresser drawers!) After that they moved to Solway, Minnesota where Richard bought a house. Bertha cried when she saw it. It was a two bedroom shack on 80 acres of land. The former renters had taken all the windows out of the house and it was in March and the snow was 2 feet deep. They lost everything in the depression and that's why they moved to Solway were land was cheap. They lived there from 1935 to 1948 and then they moved to California.
Warren met Pat Perry in February and married on October 8, 1947. Nine months and three weeks later Pat came home from the hospital with Christy. (August 2, 1948) Then Lynn was born on February 7, 1951. Then Jeff was born October 30, 1953.
Marlys met Clarence while in school and they married on December 23, 1942. “Robbie”was on furlough from the Marines at the time. Craig was born in November 14, 1946. Then Eric was born June 18, 1958.
Bobby and Arlene met in school and were married on October 16, 1950. Raeleen was born on March 15, 1952. Of note the hospital bill in Burbank was $306 for her birthing. Mary was born at St. Mary's hospital in Kansas City Missouri on February 10, 1954. Then Roberta came along on August 5, 1958 at North Kansas City Hospital. (That bill was $168) Charles was born March 8, 1962. His hospital bill was $268.
Darlene and Keith met in California where Keith worked at Weston bakery with Mickey's mother. Bertha dragged him home. Darlene and Keith married December 31... the year is uncertain sure was born then Wayne.
