  Carl Schilling Sr.’s family owned a huge beer gardens inGermany. He went away on a graduation trip (from middle school) and met MarieWiefenbach. Carl got her pregnant and his family disowned him. Their oldestchild Max was killed in World war 2 in Germany. Then there was Rose, Carl Jr., Bertha,Hans and Adolf. When Carl Senior died, (1909) his parents took Max and Rose tolive with them. The younger four stayed with their mother. The oldest twochildren lived in riches while the younger four lived in poverty.
  Marie was able to immigrate to America with her four children.She stopped to see a cousin in New York. Then she went on to Nebraska where shemet Christopher Myers and they had one Child, Minnie. Chistopher later hunghimself. Marie then married Frank Schauerhammer and they had no childrentogether. Marie died of a heart condition in either 1935 or 1936. Frank diedyears later.
  Bertha met Richard Stolle in school and they married later.They moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota where Warren was born. This was during thedepression. Then they went to North Dakota where Marlus was born. (1925). Theymoved again around 1929 or 1932 a farm near Frederick, South Dakota. They leasedthree different farms in the area and while at the third one the twins (Arleneand Darlene) were born. This was in 1933. After that they moved to Solway,Minnesota where Richard bought a house. Bertha cried when she saw it. It was atwo bedroom shack on 80 acres of land. The former renters had taken all thewindows out of the house and it was in March and the snow was 2 feet deep. Theylost everything in the depression and that's why they moved to Solway were landwas cheap. They lived there from 1935 to 1948 and then they moved to California.
  Warrenmet Pat Perry in February and married on October 8, 1947. Nine months and threeweeks later Pat came home from the hospital with Christy. (August 2, 1948) ThenLynn was born on February 7, 1951. Then Jeff was born October 30, 1953.
  Marlysmet Clarence while in school and they married on December 23, 1942. “Robbie”was on furlough from the Marines at the time. Craig was born in November 14,1946. Then Eric was born June 18, 1958.
  Bobbyand Arlene met in school and were married on October 16, 1950. Raelene was bornon March 15, 1952. Of note the hospital bill in Burbank was $306 for herbirthing. Mary was born at St. Mary's hospital in Kansas City Missouri onFebruary 10, 1954. Then Roberta came along on August 5, 1958 at North KansasCity Hospital. (That bill was $168) Charles was born March 8, 1962. Hishospital bill was $268.
  Darleneand Keith met in California where Keith worked at Weston bakery with Mickey'smother. Bertha dragged him home. Making Keith remarry December 31 year isuncertain sure was born then Wayne.
