a. Note:   LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIED SUDDENLY YESTERDAY OF APOPLEXY AT HOME. Mary Alice Cripe, aged 58 years, died suddenly yesterday shortly after noon at her home six miles north of Goshen, near Indian Creek, of apoplexy. The deceased had been in apparent good health and was working in the garden near her home when she was stricken. A granddaughter noticed her and called neighbors to the scene. She died a short time after being taken into her home, was regaining consciousness. Mrs. Cripe had been a life long resident of this county and was well known. For 13 years she had resided at her present home. Surviving are her husband, William C. Cripe, one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Earl Cripe of three miles west of Goshen, three sister, Mrs. William Matson of Angola; Mrs. Davis of Montgomery, Mich.; and Mrs. J.O. Brunk of Shelby, Mich., and two brothers, John Scherer of Pittsford, Mich. and George Scherer of Montgomery, Mich. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, friends meeting at the residence at one o'clock and at Basher Chapel at 2:30. Rev. W.P.
