a. Note:   "W.A. CONKEY PASSES AWAY W.A. Conkey, better known as Art, a Northwest township, O. farmer for many years, passed away at his farm home Friday night following an illness of several weeks. His death was due to cancer. He had resided on the farm where he died all his life. Mr. Conkey was 72 years old, and was well thought of by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure, the wife, two sons, Ford who lives near his parents, Clair of Lansing, a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Lealet (sic) of Edon, Ohio, and one grandson. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home, Rev. Lewis Rigelman of Augusta officiating. Interment in the Columbia cemetery. OBITUARY - WILLIAM A. CONKEY William Arthur Conkey, son of Frank and Flora Kindig Conkey was born Sept 25, 1870 at the present residence. He departed this life March 12, 1943 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 17 days. On October 10, 1982,he was united in marriage with Ida Bistline with whom he lived until her death, May 27, 1904. On March 8, 1906, he was united in marriage to Bessie Dick. To this union were born three children, Ford of Northwest and Clair of Lansing, Mich., and Bruce who died in infancy. He lived his entire life in Williams County at the home where he was born and raised. is passing leaves a vacant place in the live of those who knew and respected him. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, two sons, Ford and Clair, one grandson, and one sister, Mrs. Carl Lesnet and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, March 15, at 2 p.m. at the house with Rev. Lewis Rigleman officiating. Burial was made in the Columbia cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank everyone for their sympathy and kindness in this our time of sorrow. The Conkey Family. W.A. CONKEY, 72, SUCCUMBS Prominent Farmer South of Camden Ill 3 Months With Cancer Camden, March 13--W.A. Conkey, 72, passed away Friday night at his farm home in Northwest township, Williams County, Ohio. Death followed an illness of three months and was due to cancer. Conkey was born September 25, 1870, and was a life-long resident on the farm where he died. He was married in August 1906 to Bessie Dicks, who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ford, living on a nearby farm and Clair, of Lansing, a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Leslet, of Edon, Ohio, and by one grandson. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, probably at the home. Rev. Lewis Riggelman, of Augusta will officiate and interment will be in the Columbia, Ohio cemetery.
