Note: from Chesaning Argus, Chesaning, Mich., Saturday, February 27, 1892, page 4 OBITUARY GEO. E. WOOD Geo. E. Wood passed away at 5 a.m. Feb. 23d, aged 40 years, 9 months and 11 days. He was born in Groton, Cayuga county N.Y. Mr. Wood married his wife who survives him, 20 years ago and immediately commenced housekeeping in Chesaning where he has since resided, with the exception of six months spent on his farm west of town. His father, mother, and an elder brother preceded him to the higher life. There remain of the family three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Wood has suffered long and much with the disease which caused his death, but life's ending was easy and peaceful. For the past two years his sufferings were so intense that he prayed that the end might be easy. The funeral was held at the house attended by Elder Millar, and the Cong'l choir.
