Ohio, attending school John, 7, m, b. Ohio, attending, cannot read or write Rachael, 26, f., b. Ohio Daily Herald (Delphos, Ohio) August 8 1901 "AT ADVANCED AGE Father of John and Lafe. Armstrong Died, Wednesday. Wednesday night, about 9 o'clock, at the home of his son, John Armstrong, 5 1/2 miles west of Delphos, on the Ridge Road, Thomas Armstrong died at the advanced age of nearly 88. In his death another pioneer resident of Washington township has passed away. Deceased has made his home for 18 years with his son John and was also the father of Lafe. Armstrong, of the same township. Mr. Armstrong's wife preceded him in death 27 years ago. He was a resident of Washington township for 50 years. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, from the house. Burial in Kings' cemetery." Daily Herald (Delphos, Ohio) August 27, 1901 "Will Probated Van Wert Bulletin: The will of Thomas Armstrong, late of Washington township, has been probated. Frances, Harvey and Maud More, a tract in section eighteen, Washington township, Thomas, Frank and Lee Armstrong, a tract in section eighteen, Washington township." Armstrong and others, an action to set aside the last will of the late Thomas Armstrong, of Washington township, has been continued to the February term." Delphos Daily Herald, Delphos, OH, April 1, 1903 "Eva Seitz, in the name of Etta, Chester, Bessie and Frances Armstrong, has sued Charles Armstrong and others in an action to set aside the will of the late Thomas Armstrong, of Washington township. The plaintiffs allege that the will accepted by the Probate court is not the last will of the deceased."
