SPEALMAN Dau S Female W 6M OH OH OH Camden Advance, June 21 1934 "Dan'l Spealman, aged 81? years died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter Mrs. David Bauer near Reading. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the M.E. church in Camden and interment in the Camden cemetery. He formerly resided in Northwest township, O., and in this village. He is survived by the daughter, a son, J.W. Spealman and a sister Mrs. Ellen Caywood."28, 1854 same newspaper, page 1 "OBITUARY Daniel Warner Spealman, son of Daniel and Luisa Spealman was born in Richland county, Shelby, Ohio, August 28, 1852,and departed this life June 17, 1934 at the home of his daughter at Reading, Michigan at the age of 81 years, 9 months, 11 days. His family came to Northwest Township, Williams county, Ohio by means of covered wagon when he was two years old. He was one of a family of ten children and only one survives him, Mrs. Ellen Caywood of Camden, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Johnson in 1873, she having passed away in the 1924 at the ago of 50 years. To this union were born two children, Mrs. David Bauer, Reading, Michigan, and Warner Spealman, Cooney, Ohio. He leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, one son, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister and other relatives and friends. The deceased had been in poor health for the past year and was confined to his bed for the past three weeks. Funeral services were held at the Camden church, Wednesday June 20, 1934, Rev. Bready of Pioneer officiating. Interment in the Camden cemetery beside his wife." from Pinckney Dispatch, Pinckney, Michigan, August 3, 1899, page 2 "Dan W. Spealman and son of Cooney, O., narrowly escaped a horrible death while managing a traction engine southeast of Camden. Near a high embankment the engine became unmanageable, rolled over the bank and landed bottom-side up in the ravine. Both men clung to the cab and escaped without a scratch. The engine is wrecked."
