a. Note:   from The Enquirer and Evening News, Battle Creek, Michigan, 9 July, 1922, page 5: "Frank Wood Succumbs to Burns Received at Work at Citizens' Power Plant. The accident happened Friday night. Frank Wood, 49 years of age, died yesterday afternoon from burns received while at work as a coal passer in the boiler room of the plant. The body of Mr. Wood was removed from the hospital to the Spaulding undertaking parlor, where it awaits funeral arrangements. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Lean Carlyle of Fife Lake, Mich., and Homer, 18, Stella, 18, and Ruth 14, residing at the home, 600 Hamblin avenue.
