From Wadsworth Banner Press-- 28 April 1925, page 4: "OBITUARY--JOHN F. HUNT John F. Hunt, son of John and Mary Hunt, was born in Medina county, Ohio, June 6, 1849. He departed this life at his home on Bergey street, April 16, 1925. His age was 75 years, 10 months and 10 days. Mr. Hunt was first united in marriage to Miss Anna Miller, to which union there was born one son, Clyde, who at present resides in California. Mrs. Hunt having been called to her reward, Mr. Hunt was, on the 3rd day of May, 1922, united in marriage to Mrs. Susan Heller Shook, who today remains to mourn his loss. Mr. Hunt was born and died in this community and with the exception of a number of years spent in Michigan, he lived here all his life. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved companion and wife, his son, Clyde, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; also five children belonging t his wife by a former marriage, through whom there remain 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Hunt is the last of a family of seven children; two brothers, James and Edward, and four sister, Mrs. Margaret Jaquith, Mrs. Mary Screen, Mrs. Catherine Lyle and Mrs. Sarah Van Orsdale having preceded him to the Spirit World. Funeral services were held Monday forenoon at the late home on Bergey street conducted by his pastor, Rev. E.E. Zechiel. Burial was made in Woodlawn.
