a. Note:   Kindig, Daniel * 15 Aug 1862, Daniel, age 21, is listed in the Roster of Ohio Soldiers 1861-66 volume 8, page 264, as a Private. He was in Company H, 120th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He died 21 Sept 1863 at New Orleans, LA. In the back of the Roster book, the Roll of Honor lists Daniel Kindig as being buried in Chalmette, Louisiana in Monument Cemetery. Chalmette is in St. Bernard parish. There is a national cemetery at Chalmette. But he is not listed at that site....it seems that many were buried as unknowns.
