Note: from Angola Republic, 3 March 1897 "OBITUARY Again death has visited Northwest township and called Mrs. Delia Ann Shearer. The message came very unexpected the 24th inst. at about 11a.m. as she was preparing diner; at 1 p.m. she was in eternity. Heart disease. The deceased was born at Petersburg, Ohio, in the year 1835, and departed this life Feb. 24th, 1897, aged 61 years, 2 months, and 13 days. Two brothers, three sisters, seven children and an aged companion are left to mourn their loss. The bereaved companion and children have the sympathy of the entire community. Remains were interred in Billingstown cemetery. Services conducted by Re. J.P. Hight." from unknown newspaper: In Northwest township, Williams county, Ohio, Feb. 24, 1897, Mrs. Delia Ann Shearer, aged 61 years, 2 months, and 13 days. Deceased was born at Petersburg, Ohio, in the year 1835. Her death occurred very unexpectedly. She was taken ill at about 11 a.m., while preparing the dinner, and in two hours was in eternity. An aged companion, seven children, two brothers and three sisters, are left to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held in the Northwest U.B. Church, conducted by Rev. J.P. Hight. Interment in the Billingstown cemetery.
