a. Note:   From the "Register-Union: Feb. 9, 1905 "Former Ovid Lady Mrs. Edward Keck Died at Her Home in Chapin Last Wednesday Mrs. Edward Keck, for a number of years a resident of Ovid, died at her home in Chapin, last Wednesday aged sixty nine years. Mrs. Keck was born in Pittsburg, Pa., on February 27th, 1836 and died at her home in Chapin, Feb. 1, 1905. She was united in marriage on June 18, 1855 to Mr. Edward Keck of Ohio and to them was born seven children. Mr. and Mrs. Keck came to Michigan in 1880 and lived in Ovid for thirteen years and then moved to their farm in Chapin Township. those left to mourn their loss are the husband, four children and four great grand children. The funeral service was held at the Olney church Friday, interment in Ford's Cemetery, Rev. J.W. Noble officiating."
