Note:   from Ovid Register Union: "Edward Keck Dies in 92nd Year Was One of the oldest Residents in This Vicinity-Settled in South Ovid Funeral Services Sunday Burial Made in Ford Cemetery near Elsie Edward Keck, one of the oldest residents of our community, passed away last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Martha Lidle, in his 92nd year. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Innis officiating, and burial was made in the Ford cemetery, near Elsie. Edward Keck was born in Pennsylvania, Feb. 9, 1833, and passed away at the age of 91 yrs., 2 months and 19 days. He was married to Susana Moyer in 1854 and seven children were born to this union, four of whom survive. Forty-four years ago on May 20th, the family came to Michigan and settled near Jessie, in South Ovid. They later moved to Chapin and Elsie where they resided for a number of years. Mrs. Keck died nineteen years ago. For the past five years Mr. Keck has made his home most of time with his daughter in Ovid. He was a successful farmer and highly respected by all who knew him. He had been failing in health for some time, and confined to his bed for the past ten weeks.
