  Mrs. McWhirter
  A funeral for Mrs Minnie McWhirter 82, will be held Monday at the Mt. Zion Baptist church with Rev. David Lawer officiating. Burial will be in State Line Cemetery. The body will go to the church one hour before church services, and will remain in the Laughlin Service Chapel until that time. Mrs. McWhirter died Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Huntsville Hospital following a short illness. She is survived by six daughters: Mrs. Irene Walling, Mrs Hoyette Harris, Mrs. George Jackson of Huntsville; Mrs. William Duncan, Mrs. Harrison Polk, and Mrs. Pruitt Henry of Akron, Ohio; Three sons; Hugh L. McWhirter, Huntsville; Robert C. McWhirter, Akron, Ohio and I. B. McWhirter, Detroit Michigan; 19 Grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Active Pallbearers will be Lonnie DeWeese, Haskel DeWeese, Bill Brockway, Erwin Brockway,Charles Reed, Josh Walling, R.E. Vaughn Jr. and Grady Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. C.A. Grote Sr. A. C. Fanning, Jodie Pettus, John H. O'Neil, Ruble Redden, and the ushers of th Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
