Hugh Landon McWhirter, 89, of Huntsville died monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral home chapel wirh Rev. David McMichael officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Mr. McWhirter, a native of Tennessee, was a longtime resident of Madison county and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Hazel R. McWhirter , three sisters, Irene Walling and Juanita Jackson, both of Huntsville, and Louise Henry of Akron Ohio; and one brother I. B. McWhirter of Detroit. Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p. m. at the funeral home.
