Note: Clarence was a traveling photographer in his youth. He and his wife traveled through-out the south Alabama and southwest to Galveston and Corpus Christi Texas. He returned to Tennessee about 1925 to take care of his dieing father John Alexander McWhirter. After 1926 he moved to Crossville where he lived out his life. Clarence and his wife are buried at Crossville cemetery.
In the White County 1890 Census there is a son with the name Florine age 6 I think this was Clarance.
