The groom had only fifty cents and he spent twenty-five cents for enough calico to make his wife a dress. Their first child, Roxie a daughter, born in 1878 died in infancy and was buried in Tennessee. In the year of 1889 they left Tennessee to move to Texas with five children, Maggie age 9, Felix age 7, Lula age 5, Etta age 3, and Gebe age 1. They became waterbound in Delaney, Arkansas for about three years and two daughters were born there, Nola in 1890 and Pearly in 1892.
They left Arkansas and settled in Weston, Texas in the fall of 1893 on the Richard Mugg farm that is now the Pearl Mugg place northeast of Weston on Route 2, Celina. Bill was born there in April, 1894, Claudi was born there November 11, 1895 and died September 28, 1896 age 10 months. He was buried in Mugg Cemetery on the farm where they lived.

In the year of 1910 Mr. Perry bought 125 acres of land west of Honey Creek in the Bilderback School District on Celina Mail Route, and moved there. In 1912 he bought another 125 acres across the creek east of Honey Creek and his oldest son Felix and a daughter Nola married to Bob Marks lived on the land east of the Creek until 1918. Felix bought some land joining this farm and built a house and moved his family but still worked part of the land.
F.S. Perry died in 1919 at the ate of 67 of a heart ailment, leaving his window Paulina Perry to rent the land. Five of the children lived on the farm and paid rent to their mother until 1949 when she died at the age of 92.
Then the farm on the west side of the creek was inherited by Etta, her husband Walter George, brothers Bill and Floyd Perry. Etta died in 1969 at the age of 83 and her two sons Paul and Vancil George still own the farm. Paul still lives on the farm.
Bill died in 1965 at the age of 71, his widow and sons still live on his farm.
Floyd was killed in a car accident in 1956 at the age of 57. His widow sold her farm to Mr. MagHee and bought a home in Celina where she now lives.
The east side of the Creek was inherited by Felix and Nola (married to Bob Marks). They sold the land in 1950 when the estate was settled after the death of their mother it was bought by one of Felixs daughters Gladys and her husband Ted Cave. They still live here.
