Note:   The Daily Times Herald, Dallas, Texas, Thursday Evening, February 15, 1951 Accident Victim Dies A death resulting from a two car collision, Feb. 7, Thursday increased the city's traffic toll for the year to six. Occupants of one of the cars involved were returning from a funeral at the time of the accident. Succumbing Wednesday to injuries she received in the accident was Mrs. Beckie Jan Lewis, 64, of 1238 Mclean Street. Mrs. Lewis was the wife of Edward F. Lewis, whose funeral was helt the day of the accident. Following the accident, which occurred at Ervay and San Jacinto streets, Mrs. Lewis was taken to Baylor Hospital, but her injuries were not considered serious. She suffered several broken ribs. Services were pending at Guardian Funeral Home, 2811 Oak Lawn Ave.. Mrs. Lewis had been a resident of Dallas 18 years, coming here from Alabama. She was a native of Tennessee. Survivors include three sons, William L. Lewis, Leroy Lewis and Perry C. Lewis, all of Dallas; and two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. R.L. Anderson of Tennessee and one brother, Steve Scurlock of Alabama.
