  The Richwood Gazette Richwood, Union Co., Ohio Thursday, Nov. 6, 1913 Aged Man Dies of Paralysis George W. Bacon, a well known resident of Claiborne Township,died Saturday morning (Nov. 1, 1913) at 5 o'clock, at his home one mile south of Claiborne. He was seventy-eight years old and had been ill for some time. His death is attributed to paralysis. He leaves a widow and four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Griffith(? His daughter Carrie Nettie Bacon married Elmer O. Brookens, so she may have married Elmer Griffith first?) and Mrs. Mamie Goff( Wife of Clarence H. Goff), Mrs. Metta Phelps(wife of Lowe W. Phelps), of Claiborne, and Mrs. Ella Martin(wife of Samuel Allen Martin-desceased, later married to Hans Juachim Stockder)of Florence, Colorado. Funeral services were held from the late home, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. L.C. Momberg, of Claiborne, officiating. Interment followed in the Maskill Cemetery, Union Co., Ohio.
