Theresa Jane was the daughter of Thomas Bracken and Sara Jane Carter. She was the second child that her two brothers and two sisters. She married John Henry Sharp and they had two sons and four daughters.
She was a member of New Lebanon Church.
After her death from a heart attack, she was buried on February 29, 1910.
