They definitely seem to be the same family and correspond closely with the names given in the Hinz family bible, but Frank is not there in 1880 when he should be 10 years old and Christine seems to have changed genders. However, they could be twins and Cristofer may have gotten left off the 1880 census as the line containing "Christine" was at the end of the page. More investigation and documents are necessary. The son, Thomas, is living close by in 1900 (see Notes section under Thomas Leonhardt). Also, I have found census enumerator and/or clerk errors in gender and names for other families. For the time being, Christine is not being included as a child of Charles and Minnie Leonhardt, as she was not identified by Lillian (Leonhardt) Hinz in the Family Bible. Birth Record for a Christian Leonhardt found and may help solve the mystery--transcriber may have mistook Christian for Christine, assumed the gender was mistaken and changed it from M to F and Son to Dau.
