Should be 38 years. **Also Note: According to Paul Hinz' obituary, he came to Oshkosh, April 19, 1881 and lived there ever since, but Lizzie's obituary says she lived there "the last 32 years" which would have been since 1900 as she died in 1932, so still can't be sure where they were married. In 1920 US Census Paul Hinz and family are found at 515 South Park Avenue. Elizabeth's age is correct. All 'children' are still at home. Paul Hinz is a "shaper" with business described as "sash and door." Josephine is a "cutter" in some sort of cloth factory. George is a student and Frank's occupation is impossible to read. Added to "Germany" for Paul's birthplace is a note that looks like "Rehen." Could this be Rhine, the same as for the Geffers family? Search in "Germans to America": No Paul Hinz or Elizabeth Geffers (Jeffers) found from 1879-1881. Searched all possible spellings of Hinz (Hinz, Hintz, Hinze, Hintze, Heinz, Heinze); the only males between 15 and 17 were: FRISIA from Hamburg & Havre to NY arrived 5 May 1880: Gerhard Hintz 16 M Laborer PRZZZZUSA (Vol. 35, pg 249) Susanne 9 CH CIMBRIA from Hamburg to NY arrived 15 Oct 1880: Herman Hintz 16 M CPTR PRZZZZUSA (Vol. 36, pg 319) From the last the the violins made by Paul Hinz, at the home of son, William, 973 Jefferson,WI Inscription inside violin is : Paul Hintz - 1914 #3 515 13th St. Oshkosh, Wis.
