Note: Immagrated from Scotland in 1912. At one time John worked on Winston Churchill's political campaign. He wrote to Churchill while Churchill was in Florida. Churchill wrote back and returned some postcards of himself and his wife, autographing one of them. Moved to Belvidere about 1924. He had a Dodge Automobile Dealership with his son-in-law, William Vander Meulen, but lost the business during the depression.
