a. Note:   Obituary reads: The Huon Times, Thursday October 10 Mr Edmujnd Brittain passed away recently at his residence at Garden Island Creek in his 95th year. The late Mr Brittain was born at Garden Island Creek, the son of the late James and Sarah Brittain, who sailed a ship which traded between Hobart, Channel and Huon ports. Garden Island Creek at the time was a thriving community. Mr Edmund Brittain had a farm at Garden Island Creek now owned by Mr Lamptill. He married the former Jane Lancaster of Gardners Bary who died twenty years ago, and is survived by three of seven children, Stan, Clair and Gladys who live at Garden Island Creek.
