  Mrs. Amanda A. (Hutson) Conlon Whipple, 81, wife of Louis B. Whipple of 16 Patton St., died yesterday afternoon at the Springfield Hospital. She left 10 children, 30 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
  Born in Antietam, MD, April 14, 1872, she had resided in Springfield 55 years.
  Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, James E., Charles H., of Springfield, John of Indiana and Walter T. of Hartford, CT; 6 daughters: Mrs. Celia Ewing, Mrs. George Lareau, Mrs. Rose Lacy of Springfield, Mrs. Anna Flathers, Mrs. Arthur Bouvier and Mrs. Edgar Dustin of East Longmeadow; two brothers Frank and George Hutson of Sharpsburg, MD.
  Mrs. Whipple was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and Ladies Auxiliary, FOE 148, Maysatta Council, IORM No 62, the War Mothers Economic Council.
  Funeral Notice:
  The funeral of Mrs. Amanda A. Whipple of 16 Patton Street was Wednesday at Byrons Funeral home, with requiem high mass in Sacred Heart Chruch. The Rev. Thomas McCarthy was the celebrant. Honorary bearers from the Fraternal Order of Eagles were Mrs. Bernard Popp, Mr and Mrs. Edward Beaudry, Miss Elizabeth Beaudry and Mrs. John Britton. Honorary bearers from the War Mothers Society were Mrs. Flora Horne, Mrs. Edna Blair, Mrs. Katherine G. Carmody, Mrs. Sarah Twine. The bearers, all grandchildren of the deceased, were Richard and Theodore Conlon, Clifford, Charles and William Ewing and George DeVarney.
