OBITUARY:
CADA
Died at her home in McKean township, Licking county, O., Sept. 4th, 1893. Abigail Cada, aged 77 years, 10 months and 21 days.
The subject of this sketch was the daughter of Timothy and Phoebe Barber. She was born Oct. 13th, 1815, at the foot of the Green Mountains, near Pownal, VT; was united in marriage with Mowry Cada, Oct. 27th, 1833. The fruit of this union was four children, one son and three daughters, three of whom are now living.
In 1836 she, with her husband, removed to Licking county, and settled upon their farm in McKean township July 8th, 1836, which has since been her home.
She was a kind mother, who knew how to make a home bright and happy; a faithful wife with an ever ready helping hand; a good and true christian, faithful unto her God, even in the last hours of her sickness.
The funeral services were held at 11 o'clock, Sept. 6th, Rev. J. L. Wyly officiating.
Like the grain fully ripe she has passed to her reward.
