 Christened by Dean McCorrick on March 30, 1918 at St. Paul's Pro Cathedral (Episcopal) located at 525 S. Olive, Los Angeles, CA. St. Paul's was destroyed by the 1979 earthquake and had to be torn down. It was rebuilt at 840 Echo Park Ave. Los Angeles, 90026.
 Grew up on South Commonwealth. Broke his neck at the age of 16 while "horsing"
 around with a friend. He was the 2nd person to live in LA after breaking his neck.
 Enlisted in the army at Fort McArthur in San Pedro, CA on March 20, 1945.
