Note: Obituary: Front Royal-Warren Sentinel, October 21, 1987 Roland Ellsworth Keller, 72, of 8 W. 11th Street, Front Royal, died Oct. 15 in his home. Funeral Services were held October 19 in Front Royal United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Richard Keller, the Rev. Dwight Wadsworth, and the Rev. Barbara Alloway. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Winchester. Mr. Keller was born Aug. 14, 1915 in Winchester, son of Henry Clinton and Georganna Anderson Keller. He was a member of the Front Royal United Methodist Church, an honorary lifetime member and past president of the Warren County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America; an active member of the Warren County High School Music Patrons Association, owner and operator of Keller's Restaurant in Winchester, worked 15 years for the Winchester Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and worked 17 years with the Virginia Holsum Bakery. He is survived by his wife, Ajeta Rose (Biddie) Sampsell Keller of Front Royal, four sons, Larry Eugene Keller of Folcroft, Pa., Michael Lane Keller of Stephens City, William David Atkins of Manassas, and Roland Clinton Keller of Front Royal; one daughter, Karen K. Hartman of Winchester; one brother, Woodrow Keller of Winchester; and two sisters, Viola (Biddie) Legg and Pearl Wilson of Winchester; 11 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hal Meredith, Jim Crain, John Smedley, Gene Mathews, Casey Struckmann, Robert Meade, John Russell, and Howard Ryon. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Warren County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Dr. Thomas Patterson, Carl McMullan, Ernie Smith, Jim Golf, William Woods, Aaron Kersey, Fred Hazlette, Ed Novotny, and Robert Pope. Arrangements were by Maddox Funeral Home.
