Note: Traverse City Record Eagle CLARA E. CURTIS Died July 9, 1987 Kalkaska - Clara E. Curtis, 87, a homemaker, died Wednesday at Munson Medical Center. She lived in Mancelona before moving to Kalkaska. She was afilliated with the Calvary Baptist Church. She was born on March 23, 1899, to David and Ida (Porter) Short. On July 28, 1917, she married Henry Patton, who died in 1944. On Oct 20, 1961, in Kalkaska, she married William Curtis, who died in 1979. surviving are a son, Estele Patton of Kalkaska, two daughters, Lena Boroff of Kalkaska and Arbutus Woodard of Mancelona, 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Albert Patton, a daughter Fidalis Owen; a grandson Rocky Patton; three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. The Rev. Danny Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
