a. Note:   Possible born in 1888 (per Bernard Flory tree print #2) BIRTH: Age 32 in 1930 census. BIOGRAPHY: Listed in 1916 Henry County Farmer's directory as laborer at R7 Napoleon. His draft registration in 1917 has him working as a farm laborer for his brother. He has medium build with brown hair and eyes. Flory Book - in WWI. Worked many years for uncle Louis at East Side Store (Flory's Clothing per obituary) at 116 Main St., Toledo until July, 1946 when he bought his uncle out. From notes dictated to Martha Flory on 20 Jan 1989 and mailed to Bernard Flory on 9 Jan 1995 - served in Rainbow Division, Company F 166 Infantry(42 Division 93922). From Ohio Military Men found on Ancestry.com: Co F 6 Infantry ONG (Co F 166 Infantry) to Discharge Private, first class 27 Sept 1917. Champagne-Marne; Aisne-Marne; St Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne; Defensive Sector. American Expeditionary Forces 18 Oct 1917 to 25 Apr 1919. Honorable discharge 16 May 1919. Record #3 - living in Toledo as of 31 Jan 1947. From Monroe Evening News, Sat., Dec. 24, 1994: St. Petersburg, Fla. - Dolor Flory, 98, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Thursday morning after a short illness. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Biehle-Malone Funeral Home, Swanton, Ohio, when funeral services are scheduled to be held. Burial will be in St. Richard's Cemetery, Swanton. Born April 27, 1896, in Toledo, he was the son of Andrew and Mary (Parney) Flory. He owned and operated Flory's Clothing Store in East Toledo for 35 years, retiring 30 years ago. He was a World War I vetern of the U.S. Army's "Rainbow" Division. He is survived by a sister in Swanton, as well as many nieces and nephews living in Monroe County. He was preceded in death by a borther, Louis of LaSalle, who died Dec. 8. 1930 census: Rooming in Toledo and working as a salesman in a retail store.
