a. Note:   According to dad (Willard Foster), his father Frank Foster was born in Hinckley, Illinois, but the birth was never recorded. When he applied for a job with the post office, they found a person that certified that he was born on the same day that the school house burned down, and that established the date of birth.
  Frank suffered a heart attack June 20th, and died at Copley Hospital while Willard Foster was overseas during the war.
  Frank was born in Hinckley, Illinois, but when h was 6 years old, the family moved to Plano, Illinois. (Ref. 0040)
  Frank was associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 25 years, and was elevated to the highest local office of Past Noble GRand. He served as precinct committeman, constable, and deputy sheriff of Kendall County. He was a director of the Plano Chamber of Commerce. He was committeman for the local Boy Scout troop. He was also a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Plano, Illinois. (Ref. 0040)
