a. Note:   From draft for Obituary found in his family bible:
  James B. Stilts was born near Quaker City, Ohio, SEptember 15, 1857 and departed this life April 17, 1931 at the age of 73 years 7 months and 2 days. When but a young man he went to Illinois where he was united in marriage to Lugy E. Bradley. They lived in Illinois for several years, and then moved to kansas, later going to Oklahoma in 1891, being among the first of early settlers in what was known at that time as Cheroke Strip.
  About thrity-five years ago he was united with the Methodist Church. He was a man much loved by his family and daughters, L. M. Foster and Mrs.omer Stratton of Guthrie; Mrs. N. J. Lehman, Cherokee; Mrs. Charles Nash and Miss Garnet Stilts of Tulsa; and Mrs. Frank Foster of Plano, Illinois. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, and one brother of Quaker City, Ohio. (Ref. 0063)
