 according to 1900 census records..... George and Bertha imigrated to the USA in 1882 Bertha was the mother of 10 children, only 7 were alive at the time of the 1900 census. Herman was born in New york, the rest of the children were born in NJ. A bertha Hines also lived with the family,she was listed as a servent dob 11/1832 she was 67 at the time of the census. The family lived on Montgomery St Newark NJ.
