Note: I have yet to find the marriage records for Gunhild and Christian. He was Danish and she was Norwegian. I wonder if their marriage was frowned upon by her family. They were not married in "the Old Stone Church" in Houston County, Minnesota where all the other siblings were married. As a couple they went back and forth between Minnesota and La Crosse, Wisconsin. She eventually ended up owning property in her own name, a rarity in that time.
