  He claims to have been very well treated by the Germans whilst incaptivity.
  Was a serving Police Officer in the Staffordshire County Police Forcefor twenty five years before being discharged on medical grounds andthen, latterly, was a security officer at Birchenwood Coaking Plant inKidsgrove, Staffs.
  Lived at 65 Fifth Avenue, Kidsgrove, Staffs until his death in 1958.

  On the 18th November 1915 Arthur Joseph GREEN married Kathleen Mary HANDFORD at St Mary's Church, Stretton, Burton upon Trent.
  Fought in the Army during World War One and was taken prisoner by the Germans after being scalded with boiling water during a retreat.
  He claims to have been very well treated by the Germans whilst in captivity.
  He was repatriated and re-joined the Police Force on the 5th April 1919.
  Was a serving Police Officer in the Staffordshire County Police Force for 26 years 201 days before being discharged on medical grounds on the 1st January 1940 and then, latterly, was a security officer at Birchenwood Cokeing Plant in Kidsgrove, Staffs.
  Lived at 65 Fifth Avenue, Kidsgrove, Staffs until his death on the 15th February 1958.
