In 1891 he is living in Upper Stratton with Emma and 5 children; JohnH. is 9, William G. is 7, Elizabeth M is 5, Frances S R is 3 andAlbert is 5 months old. Joseph is shown as a 39 yr old Railway WagonMaker born in Oldbury (someone has pencilled in Gloucs). I can find notrace of a Birth in Oldbury on the Hill, Gloucs in the name JosephGreen. Emma is shown as 29 and born in Southampton?? In 1893, at the time of the birth of his son, Arthur, he is describedas a Wagon Builder Journeyman living in Upper Stratton. Believed to have died in 1897 at the age of 35/36. (Does not appearon 1901 Census and Emma is shown as a Widow.) Derby 7b 308 refers (Stretton was in Derby Registrars District at thistime) Cert. applied for. Death registered as Joseph Green.

Note: In 1891 the family is living in Upper Stratton with Joseph, Emma and 5 children; John H. is 9, William G. is 7, Elizabeth M is 5, Frances S. R. is 3 and Albert is 5 months old. Joseph is shown as a 39 yr old Railway Wagon Maker born in Oldbury. Emma is shown as 29 and born in Southampton?? In 1893, at the time of the birth of his son, Arthur, Joseph is described as a Wagon Builder Journeyman living in Upper Stratton. Joseph GREEN died in 1896 in Stretton, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire having moved his family there...Dec 1896 Burton on Trent Vol. 6b Page 283. From Christine Young...He'd had Rheumatic Fever for 14 days and Pneumonia for 7 days and died on the 13th December 1896. His Death Certificate showed him as a labourer at the sewage farm which I think will be where my Grandad and some of the other brothers worked.
