a. Note:   MRS. MARY MANN HAS PASSED AWAY Mother of City Treasurer Joseph Mann, Died At Noon Deceased Was 57 Years of Age Today.
  Mrs. Mary E. Mann died at her home, 111 19th Ave at noon today. Death was due to cancer from which she suffered for many months. The deceased was 57 years of age today, having been born on Bucks Co., PA, (sic) [ wrong- born in Rockford, IL- her husband was born in Bucks Co.] January 24, 1850. Since the age of six years she has resided in this sity [Sterling, IL] Mrs. Mann was the widow of Silas Mann, who died about four years ago. She is survived by and only child, Joseph Mann, city treasurer. A more extended account, together with a notice of the funeral arrangements will be published in Friday's issue.
