a. Note:   Frederick and Ethel originally Farmed at Te Mapara road, Piopio. All of their Children were born there however they must have moved not long after the birth of Naida & Vida (twins) as these 2 went to school in Springdale. They farmed in Springdale until they sold the farm to a Mr and Mrs Barnett and retired in Te Aroha, living in a large house on a corner in Puriri Street.
  The headstone at Te Aroha cemetery for Fred and Ethel reads as below: In Loving Memory Ethel May Frederick beloved wife of beloved husband of Frederick King Ethel King died 31st January 1964 died 15th July 1956 aged 76 years aged 81 years at rest at rest
