a.
Note: FAMILY BACKGROUND Norma Amelia Marie Lassig is descended from ancestry that is a mix of Prussian and Bohemian (Bohemia is now gone, and that area now forms parts of Czeckoslovakia and Poland) . Her Deutschberg grandpaternal line traces back to Charles H. Deutschberg born in 1719 in Gnadenfeld (Silesia), whose father was Christian Deutschberg. Her grandmaternal line is through Anna Welcome (Vilkommen). Other surnames leading to Norma are Sommerfeldt and Pertzsch, also German-Prussian families who immigrated to America in the mid-1800's. See "William Sommerfeld" and "Johann Carl Pertzsch" for the start of these family lines.
