(The Times News, Twin Falls, Idaho, Sept 13, 2000) OBITUARY: Wendell - Ivahmarie 'Ivah' Malissa Bailey Ivahmarie "Ivah" Malissa Bailey, was born March 7, 1907, in Elk City, the Oklahoma Territory. She married Benjamin Bailey in Denver, Colo. on Jan 17, 1927. She entered into rest on Tuesday Sept. 12, 2000 at her residence in Wendell. Mrs. Bailey is thought to have been the oldest citizen of Wendell, where she resided for 69 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her five brothers, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Lois Cunningham of Glenns Ferry, Idaho, Neta Ferrari, Sybil Goodman and Nadeen Bailey, all of Torrington, Wyom. She is also survived by her eleven children, Norman Bailey of Moyers, Okla., Wayne Bailey of Rupert, Idaho, Richard Bailey of Homer, Alaska, Joyce Grey of Citrus Heights, Calif., Jody Shriver and Fern Garrison of Boise, Idaho, Jack Bailey of Heyburn, Idaho, Robert Bailey of Wendell, Idaho, Donna Miller of Jerome, Idaho, Colleen Murray of Twin Falls, Idaho, Karen Migliuri of Spokane, Wash.; 37 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one great-great-great grandchild. Ivahmarie enjoyed doing handicrafts, tending her garden, hunting and fishing. She maintained a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed traveling, especially going to the seafood buffet in Jackpot, Nev. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Demaray's Wendell Chapel. Viewing will be from 1-7 p.m. Friday, Sept.15, 2000, at Demaray's Wendell Chapel . Burial will follow at the Wendell Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to Sheryl Ford and Pastor Bruce Stevens of Hospice, and deepest gratitude to our brother, Robert Bailey, for his kindness and care which enabled mother to enjoy her final months in her own home.
