a. Note:   John and Sarah Love moved from NC to Ross County, Ohio in 1806 where he died in 1808. Sarah then moved her family to Gallia County where two of her children married children of Jesse Collins.
  Another view from Mary Garner Metzger: Our Bible record lists Sarah Love who d. 8 Dec 1843 . I posted a query in Love Letters and have been informed that her husband is John Love of Georgia by other distant relatives including a couple from the Collins branch. From these same people I have learned that Sarah's maiden name was Calhoun and that she was born in Guilford Co., NC. dau. of James Irwin Calhoun and Jeannette Johnston. (There are all kinds of Calhoun books available showing where Sarah fits in.) Sarah and John and family migrated from N.C. to Ross Co., OH where he died in 1808 and she moved and homesteaded in her own right to Gallia Co., OH 1814-1817. Their family included: Esther born 1787; Samuel born 1794; John born 1797; Robert born 1801; Sarah born 1802; Ailsa Armon (Ammon) born 1805 and William born 1807.
