Note: 1. I have a copy of Calista's death record, which contains the following information: Name of deceased: Chlista P. Baker Date of death: 18 NOV 1893 Color: white Marital status: widow Age at death: 86 years, 7 months, 16 days Place of birth: New York Cause of death: old age Father: Mathew Pratt, born in Massachusetts Mother: Rachel Pratt, born in Massachusetts 2. Calista had only one child by her second husband, Grove Burghardt, daughter Lydia Ann Burgett. Apparently, Grove simplified his name after he moved from Massachusetts to New York. 3 Francis Stocking probably died by 1840, as he cannot be found inthe 1840 cenus. 4. Calista is probably buried in New Auburn City cemetery, located on 5th Avenue in New Auburn. In 2004 I visited the cemetery but could not find her gravestone. She is probably buried in an unmarked grave. 12. A brief obituary was found, transcribed as follows: Source: "Sibley County Enterprise," Arlington, MN, Thursday, Nov. 23, 1893, Pg. 4, Col. 1 DIED.--At the residence of B. F. Stocking, Mrs. Baker, aged eighty-four years. The funeral was held Sunday and was largely attended. Several from Brownton and Glencoe were present. Deceased was the mother of Mr. Stocking.
