2. Calista had only one child by her second husband, Grove Burghardt, daughter Lydia Ann Burgett. Apparently, Grove simplified his name after he moved from Massachusetts to New York.
3 Francis Stocking probably died by 1840, as he cannot be found inthe 1840 cenus.
4. I have a copy of Calista's marriage record to Eugenio C. Baker.

11. Calista is probably buried in New Auburn City cemetery, located on 5th Avenue in New Auburn. In 2004 I visited the cemetery but could not find her gravestone. She is probably buried in an unmarked grave.
12. A brief obituary was found, transcribed as follows:

DIED.--At the residence of B. F. Stocking, Mrs. Baker, aged eighty-four years. The funeral was held Sunday and was largely attended. Several from Brownton and Glencoe were present. Deceased was the mother of Mr. Stocking.
