  Another member of one of San Diego's truly historical families passed on last evening in the death of Mrs. Serafina Serrano at 4124 Wallace street, the family home in Old Town. She was 77 years old, was born and had lived all her life in San Diego. Her mother was a daughter of the equally historic Machado family, and her father, Stewart, one of San Diego's early pioneers of other than Spanish blood. She was the wife of Louis Serrano, and mother of Lee, John, Tony, Nellie and L. A. Serrano, Mrs. Earl Ensign and Mrs. Rose Fournier, and sister of Miss Rose Stewart and Mrs. B. F. Parsons, all of San Diego.
  Announcement of funeral services will be made later by Johnson-Saum company.

  The body will lie in state at the residence until Tuesday morning. Friends are invited to attend the funeral at the church of the Immaculate Conception in North San Diego where requiem high mass will be celebrated at 8 o'clock a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday). Interment at the Old Catholic cemetery. Funeral arrangements in charge of Johnson-Saum company. San Jose and Vallejo, Calif., papers please copy.
