1. Title:   Carla Woods-Mother

Notes
a. Note:   Died in a boating accident at Lake Kapowsin, Wa. Was camping out with Roommate David Ankeny and Fiancee Jennifer Tuller. Kevin went to look for roommate in rowboat and came across his roommate with another person in a motor boat. The motor boat was driven erratically and managed to capsize both boats. Supposedly Kevin was hit on the head when the boat went over and that was the last he was seen alive. (This is the actual incidence information, not what was told to the police, press and the family.) There were search dogs, helicopters, volunteers searching the lake for Kevin's body with no success after a week of an and on searching. His body was recovered a month later by two fishermen.
The young man operating the motor boat was charged with negligent driving a motor vehicle and given 3 months with work release. The Judge commented that the entire case had been mishandled and their should have been a negligent homicide charge boughten. But since a plea bargain was done between the prosecuting attorney and the defendants attorney (without our input) their wasn't much else that could be done.
