a. Note:   Charles Thomas Campain came to Canada with his parents via the ship CHAMPION in 1870. Charles was ten years old at the time. The family lived in Brandon, Manitoba. Charles married Mary Elizabeth Finley. They moved to Gretna, Manitoba in 1885, then to Neche (Bathgate) North Dakota. In 1893 the family moved to Marion, MI. Charles became a naturalized citizen while living in Michigan. After his wife died he moved to Ranger, Texas, to live with his daughter Abigail Bertha Frasier. Most of this information was obtained from his daughter Abigail and his son Chester and Chester's wife, Marie. Facts were also taken from the family Bible.
