a. Note:   When Thomas J. died in October 1855, his wife Margaret, being very sick herself (she died two months later), renunciated her administrative duties to his estate. Henry P. Lee was appointed administrator in January 1856. On February 24, 1856 James Robb, Margaret W's father, was given guardianship over their 3 boys, Ira Worth, Orrin, and Thomas. The estate settlement on March 14, 1859 divided $748.25 between the boys. Ira went to live with his aunt and uncle, Susan and Andrew Robb in Fulton Co., IL, while Orrin and Thomas went to live with their uncle William H. McNutt in Jefferson Co., IN. Some undocumented sources say his middle name was Joseph.
