In Dec 1934, was living at 1422 W. 50th St., Oklahoma City Moved to Ft. Worth, TX after marriage to Lorena Kueffer.
After college ROTC at University of Oklahoma, commissioned 2nd Lt. in U.S. Army Field Artillery, then discharged due to hearing loss around the time Pearl Harbor was attacked. Worked during WWII at several Army Air Force training bases in Texas (Terrell, McAllen, Harlingen). In 1948 moved family to Clearwater, Florida where he was a radio announce and salesman for station WTAN until his retirement. Was sportscaster for the world champion Clearwater Bomber softball team for 25 years. Also did daily fishing reports on WTAN. Avid rock hound and fisherman. Also avid bird hunter while in Texas.
