Wakefield Claimed At 61 Mrs. Mary A. Wakefield, 61, former Aberdeen resident, died unexpectedly Jan. 17 in Deaconess Hospital in Spokane. She was born in Chehalis and had been employed by the Washington State Employment Security Department. She was active in Eastern Star and the Genealogical Society in Spokane. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aberdeen. Surviving are her husband, Clifford S. Wakefield, Aberdeen; four daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Dale and Mrs. Althea Aumick, Seattle, Mrs. Nancy Baker, Mount Cory, Ohio, and Mrs. Sylvia Dunbar, Aberdeen; a son, Larry Wakefield, Aberdeen; a sister, Mrs. Effie Cunningham, Sappho; a brother, Tom W. Stratton, San Pablo, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Masonic Cemetery, Elma, with Rev. Tom Hepworth officiating.
