  OBITUARY For Elias Berry BOWERS
 The Blue Ridge Summit-Post
 Thusday, January 29, 1925
 XXXVII/No. 27
  Mr. E. B. BOWERS, proprietor of the Central Hotel in Blue Ridge died last Saturday night about 11:00 o'clock from an attach of acute indigestion. The news of his death on Sunday morning came as a shock to his many friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were conducted by Re. J.C. Callan at Trinity M.E. Church Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 afterwhich the remains were interred at Harmony cemetery. He leaves a wife, four sons and four daughters to mourn his loss.

 This Indenture made this the 28th day of January, 1925, between L[uther] E[dgar] BOWERS and Mrs. Ada U. LANGSTON of Fannin County, State of Georgia, J[ohn].C. BOWERS and Mrs. Beartice ROSS [Mrs. James Ross] of Hamilton County, State of Ohio, W[illiam C[aleb] BOWERS of Franklin County, State of Kentucky, H[omer].A. BOWERS of Pickens County, State of Georgia, Mrs. Medley DOUGLASS [formerly known as Medley Bowers-ROBERTS and later known as Medley CRAWFORD] of Fulton County, State of Georgia, and Mrs. Mary ROBERTS [Mrs. Oscar Roberts] of Polk County, State of Tennessere, all the heirs at law of E[lias]. B. BOWERS, deceased, late of Fannin County, State of Georgia, and each of said heirs being more than twenty-one years of age, of the first part, and Mrs. L.F. BOWERS, of the County of Fannin, State of Georgia, widow of the said E[lias] B[erry] BOWERS, deceased, of the second part.
 Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand and Four Hundred ($2400.00) Dollars, in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, and sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns a one-half undivided interest in and to all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the City of Blue Ridge, Fannin County, Georgia, and bounded on the south by the lots now occupied by Mrs. James BAUGH and the property formally [formerly] owned by Andrew JONES; on the north by the street between this property and the property of Juan HIPP; on the east by West Main street; and on the northwest by Grady Street, containing one acre, more or less, and known as the Central Hotel Property, and said described real estate being parts of lots of land numbers 278 and 279, in the 8th District and Second Section of said County and State. Also a one-half undivided interest in and to a certain parcel or part of lot of land number 278 in the Eighth District and Second Section of said County and State, and bounded on the north and west by the above described property; on the south by the property of Mrs. HACKNEY; and on the east by West Main Street, and more fully described in a deed from Andrew JONES to W. L. CONLEY, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of said county in Deed record 4, page 435.
 To Have and To Hold the said bargained premises, together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereof, to the same being, belonging or in anywise appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of her, the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.
 And the said parties of the first part, for their heirs, executors and administrators, will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above described property unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
 In Witness Whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
